I had just moved to Ft. Pierce & a friend brought me a Gondola. With the toasted (but NOT dry) bread, quality meats & cheeses it was the best sub/sandwich I've ever tasted! Tops subway and Publix subs. The onion rings were delish too.

Everyone comes to Rick's. And everyone eats at Presutti's. You'll find no piano-player here, nor uniformed Nazi officers, but you'll find the best cheese steaks my wife has ever eaten. The secret, says the owner, is the top-quality roast beef that goes into it. For about six or seven bucks, you get a nine-inch sub and chips. Well-brewed iced tea, sweet and unsweet, joins Coke products in the drink lineup. The decor is nothing special. The food is the reason everyone eats at Presutti's. Everything else doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

Do not go here if you're in a hurry or are looking for a good sandwich. On my first visit the food was decent for the price and the tea was quite good. But on my 3-4 return visits, I've waited way too long for a sub sandwich. Presutti's philly cheese steak does not even come close to Goodfella's. If you're looking for a sub, go to Goodfella's or just continue west on Okeechobee Road for about 2 blocks and eat at Dale's.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
